JHM - is this a reference to the Aberdeen replacement PSU? I can imagine a replacement PSU might benefit TACT ADC's and DAC's but I don't have any of those. If there were any effect on the SPDIF, It would be in the form of noise/jitter - both of which my DAC chain rejects pretty well. I think I've mentioned before that running the TACT in bypass (flat) mode sounds identical to unplugging it completely from my system...
