True. There are no published studies to indicate that any human can
distinguish between a 24/96 (say) master and its correctly downsampled
16/44.1 equivalent.

Of course there is a gargantuan pile of anecdotal evidence to the
contrary... people will hear/believe what they want to hear/believe.
