I agree that jitter is real. I'm not an engineer, but the folks that I know that understand the technology behind digital jitter problems have pointed out numerous times that there is literally no evidence that human beings can detect the audio effect of jitter in any modern setup. The level of jitter measured seems to be far, far below the threshold that would (can?) show up in any sort of listening test. And even with my amateur knowledge, I see things on audiophile forums, websites, and magazines that I know to be completely incorrect about the nature of jitter, etc. (not referring to your discussion, just the usual jitter bogeyman claptrap that enters into a lot of audio forum discussions). p.s. I'm referring to the jitter discussion and not anything related to the TACT and Panny. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96407 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
