Not sure exactly what comparison you are asking about. No formal testing, but I do occasionally feed the S/PDIF input of the transporter from an old laptop computer (S/PDIF output) for the purpose of listening to some streams that I can only get via the PC (a webbased player). I just played a 24/96 file via Foobar2000 on the laptop feeding the Transporter digital in as well. No formal test and certainly not blind, but I detect no difference on the 24/96 files from foobar2000 fed to transporter vs switching over to listening to the same 24/96 files played by the transporter directory (from LMS). I used to use the laptop feeding a Benchmark I DAC via S/PDIF (with foobar2000) as my main music server (pre-squeezebox). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96407 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
