Yes layers of thd and noise really helps when listening for the small
differences and fine details :) it's probably very sensitive to which
USB cable you are using .

Hifi economy is weird maximum performance is not at maximum price , this
amp is outperformed by any ht reciever for example .

But it goes with the territory even on unrestricted budget a decent
engineer on some of the decent companies runs out of tricks to make it
better , I mean power amps if you have that much money buy the best
Bryston have in their current line up and all amp " problems " you ever
had or imagined that you had are gone .
You can play this game in every product category as we know in the
category of transports it stops at the Touch :)

A decent USB 2 branded cable 10$ , I would look for that seal on an USB
cable ,but that's about where it stops , I'll gues some of the more
esoteric designs would not actually pass by the USB standard .

There is a completely insane preamp to match this , wait until I find
the tread .
