We actually use simple ASCII text files for database/Airspace/instrument
configuration in the B2000 and will continue to do this in future
instruments as much as possible. Our PC software generates these and
anybody is welcome to write their own front ends or even just manually edit
the files in any OS. We'll make the protocol available.
