I prefer the idea of someone who packs 'chutes regularly, who has a predefined interest in it and who's chutes actually get opened regularly, packing my 'chute. If his credentials are to the AFP standard and remains current with regard to AFP insurance and the GFA can organise insurance cover, this may well be better, although a touch dearer, way to go.
I'm not in the insurance industry, but experience in a field usually counts for something, and I'm sure this applies to parachute packing as well. A.J.
