I dont really see any one else trying to think of a way around the current
problem, other than tackling insturance clashes between to organisations...
thats progressing forward at a million miles per hour isn't it?.. no offence
to the people trying to resolve this problem, i know its not there doing but
a legal issue., keep up the good work !

Maybee if its a way around the current problem, whats shrinking membership
numbers got to do with this parachute problem ? surley the amout of
parachutes is not shrinking , if the amount of chutes and people are
shrinking why do people sell parachutes in australia if its a dying market ?

Excellent the military still do that as far as i know, i have never been
trained to pack chutes only open them.

I agree why have APF pack chutes when we ( As a organisation ie the GFA )
could do it our selfs !

>I wouldn't pack a chute for $25.

Neither would I , I would charge a shit load more for my time , just a ball
park suggestion .... just trying to keep our great sport affordable.

So you trust the APF's insurance policy, if the shit hit the fan, it doesn't
matter who buy's the policy lawyers will null and void it if something
happened, thats what there there for limit liability in a payout case.

Sorry Mike just put a workshop up at home to get my aircraft out of my house
so got no room for a bridge .

My scheme was for out inhouse packing of gliding chutes only not every tom
dick and harry who owns a "meat bomb arresting device"

As some one who some times wears a parachute in a powered aircraft in both
Certified and Homebuilt aircraft thats where CAR 30 packer as a single
entity come into play, When i have my homebuilt finished i will be flying
with a chute.

The only reason its a shambles is because CASA is slowly washing its hands
of the regulation of day to day things, ie why APF, SAAA, RAAaus,GFA exist
as the regulators for there corner of our flying world.

But in saying that CASA are opening up there fist hold on regulation , which
i one thing i admire.... now i can build my starlet under expermental rules
with out the constricting crap of 101.28, thank you CASA now i can do my own
maintence work on my own engine and self certify its compliance without
having to pay a LAME a thousand dollars a hundred hourly , which also brings
one point out howmany CASA LAME's have wood and fabric tickes these days
F### A## , supply and demand if only a hand full of lame's have these
tickets then the price goes up, my estimated cost of a hundred hourley for
me under experimental is $ 143.00 dollars under 101.28 Who knows?

If this aint progress then what is .....

If CASA have in there rules and regs provisions that people can be cerified
to carry out work , then why not use the Regs to OUR ADVANTAGE !

If people dont use these regs to there advantage then CASA have
justification to pull the regs and Shaft everyone !

Is seems you see this as all to hard but who's ganna pack your chute ?

You would think we all flew in alternate

No we fly in the same universe just different airspace.
