Hello all!

Once again, incorrect information needs to be corrected!
Schleicher only applies spray painted markings which are
sanded flash afterwards.

They do not offer anything else.

Kind regards to all!

I put vinyl stickers on a newly refinished glider and they mostly blew off
in the post VNE Form 2 evaluation flight!

On new gliders from Germany, you get 3 choices in order of cost. Stickers,
stencilled painted letters and computer-cut masked letters.
The painted letters are done with such a thin layer of paint that you can
polish them off with a bit of work.

All vinyl letters shrink outdoors. There are "5 year" outdoor vinyls which
shrink less than cheap vinyl but paint is far superior. Get vinyl cut as
stencils, spray a really light coat of colour and then peel of the vinyl
and
bin it.
