That change is tagged for Issue 8, as one of the many To Do items for when work on that formally commences. The earliest I personally expect Issue 8 to be published is 2019, a bit over 10 years after Issue 7 was. It was 10 years between POSIX:1990 and Issue 6, 8 between 6 and 7, so 9 years is about average on how long it takes.
