If you tell us your username (note, that you have to register a
second time, even when you're a "OOo-member" - we're not using the
same infrastructure as the main project), I (ore someone else) can
give you the author-rights, then everything should work easily for
you.

Hallo Sigrid,
We met in Karlsruhe, you got me some free tickets for Linuxtag.
:)
Anyway, I created an account on OOoAuthors.org (winfixit) and I got
started on translating the Getting started Guide. It is even more
dull and time consuming than I had dreaded, but I'm getting tidbits
of information out of it anyway. I'm doing a rather rough
unpublishable translation to start with, then I'll read it over and
improve and correct it where necessary. Then somebody else will have
to proofread it, but I'll ask (some of) my customers to pitch in for
that. Would it be possible to create a Dutch section on the OOoAuthors
site? I would really appreciate that. I know somebody in Holland who
may also want to help out a bit, so I'll notify him as well when it
exists. If we're lucky he may even want to help out with
translations. I can't do everything on my own...
Two things: I have give you the author-role ;) so you can start and you
have now access to the authors-only part of the English-folder ;)
I wish you a lot of fun with translating the guides ;)
Second: I have created a folder for the nl-documents. I hope, I did
everything right - this is the first folder, I've created. So, if
something doesn't work as expected, please let us know, that we can have
a look at the right of that folder.
Liebe Grüße zurück
Vielen Dank Sigrid!
I uploaded to the Dutch folder what I got so far. Can you see the files?
Now I wonder. This is very rought first draft of those files. When I
polish up the files during the second pass, how do I replace those
files? Do I delete them and then create documents with the same names?
Or is there a better way? The last file is only halfway translated. I
want to store it there though, as an off site backup. Can I update the
file as I get further along with the translation?
Then there is the matter of the web site. If I would like to see an
entire Dutch section to it, where are the files that need to be
translated for achieving that?
Bis später,
Jo
