A quick clarification: it's not the guide that is dull, but rather
the work of translating it. I'm glad I can do something back for the
community though and I think it's worth it.
How about asking the Dutch OOo community to help you? Subscribe
yourself to [EMAIL PROTECTED] We have a very active
community that has been working together with Sun on translating the
gui and the helpfiles. At the moment those people are reviewing the
helpfiles. You can ask the people there to help you in your
translation effort. I can easily imagine you can use some extra hands.
Maybe it would also be a good idea to tell the folks at the
localization ml a little more about ooo-authors. Like an introduction.
The effort is worth it even if you find only one person to help you.
Hoi Arthur,
Progress on the translation is slow and I'm not satisfied with the
current result. I decided to translate it in two passes though and then
ask people to proofread it after that. One particular problem I have is
simply already with the title... Getting Started Guide
Hoe starten met OOo-gids?
Gestart geraken met OOo
Starten met OOo
Beginnen met OOo, een inleiding
Inleiding tot OpenOffice.org
Inleidende gids voor OpenOffice.org
enz. A lot of possibilities, but I can't seem to decide on a really good
one. I kind of like the last one though. What do you think?
