Lou, apparently you have no sense of humour. Chad was clearly
joking about the "Lord Captain Commander". Also, Chad is wrong
about "head of OOoAuthors"; Chad gets a lot of things wrong.
Considering that Chad is not active at OOoAuthors, and I was a founder
of OOoAuthors, I think it's an easy mistake.
Leadership at OOoAuthors is not a rigid thing. There is no official lead
position, whoever does the work and has the skill tends to make
decisions (meritocracy). The closest thing to a lead position are the
editors.
And a leader at OOoAuthors is only a leader if others choose
to follow them.
Several of us refer (sometimes jokingly, sometimes seriously)
to Daniel as our leader (or our "fearless leader"), because we
respect him and his opinions and his vision for the group.
Most of the really good ideas for the development of this group
have come from Daniel, not because he has any more authority
than anyone else, but because he has really good ideas.
Okay, Daniel, I'm finished embarrassing you for now. :-)
Happy holidays to everyone!
Cheers, Jean
