as an member of the Germanophon team I will try it ... ;) If you have someone, who can read German, you can have a look at our guide to translation at http://oooauthors.org/de/Vorlagen/Uebersetzung_OOo_Leitfaden_komplett.sxw and translate it (and adjust it to your needs) into Italian .. ;) In short: - Your translation is for users. Try to write your translation, so it is understandable for them. Pay special attention to use faultless Italian. - Do not try to follow the original text too closely. It could be that the resulting translation is either sounding strange or understandable. If a sentence is too long, cut it into pieces. (A tip aside: Try to translate the content of the sentence or a paragraph, not the sentence or the paragraph itself, if it is difficult to translate ... ;) ) - Do not use English words, where an Italian is available. - If there was a spelling reform (like here in Germany), use the prescribed spelling in your translation. - Address the reader in a neutral form to give them instructions or the like. - Use uniform text and style throughout all translations (which should be given by your use of OmegaT, IIRC ... ;) ).
