If anything, the Load Styles problem is even worse with this version.
I think it has that outline numbering problem even w/o Load Styles
being invoked now...
Hmmm... I have not noticed any outline numbering problem, but then I
don't paste whole files into new templates, either.
Back on the paragraphs reverting to Default problem: in one file I
noticed a pattern of which paragraphs reverted. Most (possibly all
OOoTextBody paras immediately after a heading (OOoHeading x style) or
immediately after a figure (OOoFigure style) reverted to Default. Also
OOoCaption. In each case it was a style following a different style
that changed.
Have you noticed a similar pattern?

I believe that the bulk of mine are of two or three newly created
paragraph styles in numbered lists. Those in bulleted lists appear
unaffected. The other paragraph styles seem to be OK. But it may be that
the graphics trigger the problems, but I doubt that because it happens
way too frequently and in some cases, no figures were involved.
Also, version 2.4 has applied a default condition relating to a new
check box in Frame and Picture dialog boxes for the Type page. I
unselected those defaults in order to maintain compatibility with MS Word.
