OK. Actually since I have updated my autotext I should not have any
problems with them in the future.

I noticed that too, but it very much depends on the zoom setting. When
using my desktop, over a certain zoom level the regular 12pts font
seems to become suddenly bold...
In general I do not like much BitStream Vera serif, but there seems to
be no alternative if we want to have a consistent look (and
pagination) across different platforms.
If we intend to publish the documents only in their pdf version we may
have more freedom as the pdf file embeds the used fonts so they will
be displayed correctly on every OS.

I am happy with inserting non breaking spaces where feasible. I do not
know how to force a non breaking space in a field though, so things
such as Figure 2 may still break across two lines.
