And speaking of macros, would it be possible to effect a run-in
subhead with a macro? That would be a decent plus for all OOo users
and maybe encourage users of other DTP programs to embrace OOo. You
sort of kludged one in your test chapter when you combined the
OOoStrongEmphasis character style with the body text paragraph style.
I do not think that you can currently prevent a field from breaking
the space.
What is a "run-in subheading"?
A subhead (third or fourth level, typically) followed by paragraph
body text starting on the same line after a space, usually
(http://www.graphic-design.com/DTG/bergsland/run-in_heads.html). Adobe
InDesign does them easily and well.
Interesting. I think that you can format the text this way without using
a "heading" style, which deals with paragraphs. I think that you would
need to do something tricky like:
1. place the heading in a frame or table.
2. Use a character style rather than a paragraph style.
