I might just use shawn's link and make my own JCar rig since I will actually know how it works.
I used the same dimensions as the demo for my chassis(cube). The only thing different is the mesh, and the demo is away3dlite. I am unable to compile and run the code katopz posted. When setting up the car, the getChildByName returns null for the all of the wheels. Also, the away3dlite demo has the wheels/acceleration wrong I think. When you move it, its driving as if its going backwards or steering from the back. Maybe its because of the negative yUp. Everything seems to be backwards in away3dlite fp10. I tried creating the primitive car in away3dlite too and it also moved backwards/turned right instead of left.
