Thank Aaron for your help. I do not have a record of him ever going to Brazil. Something else to explore, I guess. My Silva family is my pateral grandmother's family. Though I've been in contact with them they refuse to help. @Dano, I have checked every Manuel/Manoel from 1 Jan 1900 - 4 Oct 1906. I will check the decade of the 1890's though. I even checked the same time frame by looking for his parents names. Thank you for the suggestions on #2. I will look again using them. I do recall seeing a number on the manifest.
