E;  I don’t think you should have any problems.  I did not have any with the 
previous version of FTM from McKiev.  I’m still very frustrated with them as 
when I purchased that copy I thought I was getting what they are now selling, 
syncing with Ancestry.com, etc.  I’ve written back and forth with them, they 
are VERY SLOW to respond so, I don’t think much of their customer service, but; 
since today is the last day for the discounted upgrade, I bit the bullet and 
placed my order.  I previously purchased Roots Magic but; just can’t get used 
to that program after years of using FTM.  Plus, when I use RM it gives me all 
the hints I previously, over the years, have already accepted in my FTM 
program.  I don’t want to go through all of them again.  It seems I’m stuck 
purchasing this new McKiev FTM 2017.  Let’s hope it’s smooth sailing from here 
on out…

Sam and others,

I received an email from McKiev that I have 2 days to upgrade to FTM 2017 for 
$39.95.  I have texted them a few times in the past few months trying to get 
answers to some questions that I have.  So here is my biggest question....Can I 
have them download the program without disturbing the program I currently have? 
 I plan on backing up what I have on my old FTM program on a flash drive and 
uploading it to the new McKiev FTM 17 and what takes takes and what does not I 
will deal with as I have time. Will this work?  I can't seem to get them to 
reply to anything and I do not have a phone number to call them. I do not know 
how to make a Gedcom so really don't want to go that route. I don't want to 
mess up what I already have....too many years of research.
