I apologize for missing the beta.  Had I seen an announcement I could
have tested it, but I have no relevant mail on -announce, -devel or
-users between the release of 7.4.7 on March 16 and release 9.0.0 on
July 17.  I have absolutely nothing in my mailbox from -devel from April
to June.

However, thinking about it, I *DID* get some automated mail from
Sourceforge recently asking me to re-authorize my Sourceforge list
memberships due to a high count of delivery failures.  Possibly this is
why I never saw a beta announcement.
