Yes, I am pretty unhappy with how Source Forge is
handling the email lists. They have forbidden me any access
to the list of subscribers. I cannot manage them any more
because they consider that "confidential" information. In addition,
it seems like from your experience they are actually dropping
list members. If they just took the time to see when your last post
was they should have known better than to block your emails.
Anyway, I am considering managing the email list myself or to
use Google. If I manage it myself it will just be one more thing
that keeps me from being able to devote more time to adding
new features.
Best regards,
Kern

Hello,
I should have mentioned that the first BETA release version 7.9.0 was
released on 23 May 2017 the sixth BETA release of 7.9.5 was made on 17
June 2017.
If I remember correctly, the only person besides me who ran regression
tests during the Beta period was Dan Langille (thanks Dan) for FreeBSD,
and I fixed every single one of the problems that Dan uncovered. Note
there was at least one other user that tried the beta version and
reported that it had fixed some long standing bugs in 7.4.x that he was
having.
I apologize for missing the beta. Had I seen an announcement I could
have tested it, but I have no relevant mail on -announce, -devel or
-users between the release of 7.4.7 on March 16 and release 9.0.0 on
July 17. I have absolutely nothing in my mailbox from -devel from April
to June.
However, thinking about it, I *DID* get some automated mail from
Sourceforge recently asking me to re-authorize my Sourceforge list
memberships due to a high count of delivery failures. Possibly this is
why I never saw a beta announcement.
