Thanks, unfortunately re-activating doesn't seem to resolve it.  I have had 
them run through the EA and after it's done, it comes back after a few minutes.

I'm going to try Guido's trick of alt/cnfg.  I wasn't familiar with that and 
we'll see what happens.

Darhl, I meant to send you an email when I saw you were going to use the ET... 
We did a migration about a month ago and had the exact same issue on two 
different BES environments. At first everything looked good, then random BB's 
got the Activation Icon... and even worse, other random users started to lose 
random contacts. Ultimately out of about 70 users about 30 of them had issues. 
When a user had the icon or missing contacts, I just reset their EA password 
and had them reactivate ota and everything was fine after that.

We've tried battery pulls, but that only made the icon go away for a few 
minutes.  Then it came back like a bad dream.

I thought I saw someone on here post a similar problem and the solution was to 
pull the battery and this will fix itself.  Could definitely be mistaken

It's all across the board and funny to see so many different versions.  We 
usually don't update versions, normally letting whatever comes preloaded on it
