I think jconsole is not needed for Windows; I don't know about Mac. Chris?

I will work on formatting etc. once you have the raw material in.
I don't use jconsole much either, nor Linux at all, nor Android; so I
need subject-matter experts in those areas to add or correct anything
related to those platforms.
