>not trying to beat a dead horse here Really? There really aren't that many posts in this forum from users other than from yourself about it.
>the main jist of it is that the current design fails in multiple ways, Oh what a suprise, you've posted about a post from yourself on the same subject again; one that is close to being a year old, and had hardly any relevant responses from other users. No, the current design is not flawed. It works. I really don't understand your problem with it. You keep saying that you don't like auto compilation logic, and need to turn it off, but at the same time you say that you have album artist tags on all albums, so you won't have any compilations, so you won't have a problem with it. The database correctly reflects reality - it covers all the necessary relationships between artists, albums, tracks, genres, etc. The chosen UI implementation is one to represent heirarchies. i.e. select something and drill through to the related content. i.e. from an artist you can discover albums, from an album you can discover songs, from a song you can discover the contributing artists, etc. This is much more useful than a simple album list. _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
