Really?  There really aren't that many posts in this forum from users other

Oh what a suprise, you've posted about a post from yourself on the same subject 
again; one that is close to being a year old, and had hardly any relevant 
responses from other users.

No, the current design is not flawed.  It works.  I really don't understand 
your problem with it.

You keep saying that you don't like auto compilation logic, and need to turn it 
off, but at the same time you say that you have album artist tags on all 
albums, so you won't have any compilations, so you won't have a problem with it.

The database correctly reflects reality - it covers all the necessary 
relationships between artists, albums, tracks, genres, etc.  The chosen UI 
implementation is one to represent heirarchies.  i.e. select something and 
drill through to the related content.  i.e. from an artist you can discover 
albums, from an album you can discover songs, from a song you can discover the 
contributing artists, etc.

This is much more useful than a simple album list.
