Hi Erland,
I'm using Custom Scan and Browse (v2.11 3358) and Multilibrary since
few years to browse my classical music collection via dynamic mixed
tags customized menus on my Readynas. I'm a great fan of your plugins !

I've recently moved to SBS 7.6 .0 r32603 beta [SQLite default] under
Linux (ReadyNas Pro x86). With the new 7.6, SBS standard menus seems
very fast but with my 66K songs library i encountered,as OP,
performances issues with some CB menus (few minutes for some queries),
others like "Composers by Letters" are quite fast. I've also noticed a
big 1,1G squeezebox-persistent.db file (for only 158M squeezebox.db)
file.

So i was very interested in the Custom Browse performance 7.6 MySQL vs
SQLite discussion thread. I've updated my setup with your last CS v2.8
3363 optimized release.

1) After CS update i've made a full clear and rescan but encountered
endless custom scan process resulting in a huge 6G
squeezebox-persistent.db in the morning. I've stopped SBS and rebooted
the ReadyNas.

2) I've saved and deleted squeezebox-persistent.db and squeezebox.db,
restarted SBS, and launched again a full library rescan from scratch:
Now (12h later) squeezebox-persistent.db is only 830 Mo and not growing
anymore. Custom scan process is finished and Mixed Tag scan process is
still running according to the Custom Scan UI. There is some errors in
server log.

For the moment i've not enabled logging of "plugin.custombrowse" on
debug level. I've PM you server and scanner logs.

I'm interested in your opinion about logged error and also on other
users experiences with quite big libraries, mixed tags menus and
multilibrary (perf and squeezebox-persistent.db size).

Thank's and regards.
