After you've successfully run a Custom Scan scanning, could you try to
install the "Database Query" plugin and post the result from its
"Custom Scan Statistics" report ?
That will indicate how much data there is for each tag in the Custom
Scan tables in the database.
The "TrackStat Statistics" report would also be of interest as it shows
number of rows in the TrackStat related tables.
It would be especially interesting to see this statistics if you manage
to reproduce the case when you got the extremely large
squeezebox-persistent.db file. However, I suspect that might be hard as
you probably have to kill SBS which often will make the database files
corrupt as we saw from your previously posted log files.
Just for reference, in my generated 50000 track test library when I've
configured Custom Tag scanning module to scan STYLE, the database files
are:
- squeezebox.db: 74MB
- squeezebox-persistent.db: 301MB
If you have configured Custom Tag scanning module to scan a lot of
different tags, I suspect the squeezebox-persistent.db is going to be
significantly larger. My statistics for Custom Tag and Mixed Tag
related stuff looks like this:
