Ah I was using "album artists" in a loose term there (not capitalised). I have
these as artist tags, without explicit album artist tags, and they do appear in
the album details as a list of artists.
However, I think the browse albums list, ordered by "artist, album" isn't
showing both artists, so as you say, something has got broken somewhere in the
past.
