That logic would remain. You either have 1) an album artist is explicitly set in the tagging, 2) the album is determined to be compilation, with no explicit album artist, and the album artist is set to the various artist, or 3) all artists on all are the same, and become(s) the album artist(s). Only number 3 would be new. And it wouldn't actually be new, except in the underlying data. This is already who is determined to be the album artist by LMS. By explicitly assigning the AA role in the database it makes retrieving the album artist list very easy.
