I might be missing the full point here (as I'm just jumping in this thread in the middle), so I apologize if I'm answering the wrong question. But regarding the above statement, I have lots of albums that are marked with compilation tag (value =1) and also have ALBUM ARTIST tag filled in with something. They show up as I expect in LMS (under compilation and also tracks under any of the individual track artists, if such track artist has at least one other non compilation album in LMS. p.s. In my case, I rarely fill in the Album Artist on a compilation, but do when I want it to show up in a special way when browsing (e.g., I put "Bob Dylan" as Album Artist on a Bob Dylan tribute album.
