Thanks for the fantastic response, guys! I appreciate your time and
value your input.

By the time I read them though, I had already purchased Kingsburg. I
accept that it is not a game for "real" gamers, but that's fine by me.
I need a good stock of family-friendly, casual games. When family and
friends hear of my hobby (or, more often, are reminded of it), they
tend to ask me to bring some games over. I have had too many
experiences in which I overshoot and loose everyone and have
discovered that bringing a lighter game is the best option. I read
through the Kingsburg rules last night and ogled the components and I
am certain that it will be well received by the intended audience. If
only it catered for 6 players though. That seems to be my latest
problem with so many Euros - the 4 or 5 player maximum. I had seen
other people mention this before, but it took a while before it
affected me. I spent the first year in the hobby struggling to find
even one person to play against, so my problem then was with games
that did not support two players, or not very well (I don't like the
dummy third player solutions). Now, 6 players seems to be an all too
common number.

Now, however, you guys have made BSG sound terribly appealing, as
often happens. I picked up the box yesterday and it did look good. I
like the look of the components, and the general idea. And, of course,
it DOES support 6 players. Now I find myself wanting it too. Darn it!
Sort of. I'm never really that upset about wanting a game, especially
a good one. It came across that Kingsburg is for casual/family gaming
and BSG is for gamers. Is BSG that complicated? If the crowd handles
Shadows over Camelot and Bootleggers, for example, could they not
handle BSG?

Thanks again for all the great replies.
