Some on this list already know about the discussions regarding the new high voltage power lines that are proposed for Dane County. For those not aware, several state trails are possible corridors. Other possible locations are along the Beltline, but through the Arboretum, and south of Madison through rural areas.

I got a notice of the May 23 & 25 meetings (not sure if because of my elected position or as a Bike Fed employee.) Anyone can come to those meetings, and they will be the first opportunity to see the proposed routes. There will be more public open houses in June around Madison, Fitchburg, Verona, Stoughton, and Oregon.
