That would be West Badger Road in the City of Madison coming up off of Park
Street or the Town of Madison coming up off of Rimrock Road, depending on which
side of the Beltline you're on. Personally, I cross the pedestrian bridge at
the top to descend to Rimrock to go work at rocket speed. Coming home, I take
the long way around on the Cap City trail off of Industrial Drive (Phillips and
the RR tracks) to the Olin park trial underpass and the Wingra Path then take
the backside approach to home on Sunnymeade to avoid the big hill.

The steepest grade I've seen in Dane County is Barlow Road. The gated but still
rideable Gibralter County Park road near Lodi is even steeper.
I remember a steep hill on the north approach to the Beltline overpass near the
Hookah Lounge.
