As an aside, perhaps we should remove '-7.7' from that section title.
It came from the xorg-version, I've reduced it to 7.

Shurely not? Instead, keep that xorg-version ENTITY with the accurate
version ('7.7'/&c); and just do a manual-override ('7') in the relevant
page titles/&c; or define a related xorg-version-main ENTITY ('7')
or similar and use that for the/any overrides?
All the xorg apps/packages have different version numbers. AFAICR,
Xorg has not released an updated group of packages with a group
designation (i.e. 7.7) in over 10 years. I really don't see a need
to keep the entity xorg-version at all.
Right now the Xorg into says:
The distribution of Xorg is given a release number by the developers,
in this case Xorg-7.7, and is referred to as the "katamari" by the
upstream developers.
but I don't think this is true any more.
https://www.x.org/wiki/Releases/7.8/
Hasn't been true in some time, specifically:
These are released individually as each component is ready, without
waiting for a overall X Window System “katamari” release schedule - see
theindividual X.Org releases directory
<http://www.x.org/releases/individual/>for downloads, and
thexorg-announce archives
<http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-announce/>orgit repositories
<http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/>for details on included changes.
No release plan for a X11R7.8 rollup katamari release has been proposed yet.
That page is several years old, though it's been updated as recently as
July of 2015.
