Hi Desiree,

Is this USB Hub only plug into the computer to get its power or, is it a 
powered USB Hub and plug into a wall outlet socket to have AC / 120 volt 
power as well?  If it is not a powered hub, the USB port might not be 
providing enough power to the Hub to sufficiently run the external drive. 
Have you tried plugging the 2nd external drive into a USB port by itself to 
see if it will work that way?  Hope you get this issue figured out!  I know 
just how frustrating it can be when things quit working for no explainable 
reason.  Take care.
