David have you asked enablegamers access pannels or emailed enablegamers.
I am part of that pannel, there are not many tests for pcs but you may
get a bigger database if you do this.
If you are interested email me offlist with contact info and whatever
materials and other kit you deem appropriate and I will see if I can
include it and see what happens.
You can alternitively go to ablegamers.com and contact them directly and
mention my name there, as I am in the pannel it would be good to get
more on the research and you should be able to get others as long as
there are local and remote things done.
Somewhere on ablegamers site there is a servey to get into the panels
yourself to.

Hello Ron, thank you very much for filling the survey! I'll be happy
to give you the opportunity of testing future prototypes. Be aware
that the project is in a preliminary phase, me and my team will start
the creative and development process in January. We will be in touch
with blind people here in Portugal and involve some of them who are
interested in co-designing and testing the game through multiple
sessions. I'll keep your contact, so I can have your help, too. Thanks
again.
One more thing. I work in research. In research, we have the
opportunity to explore with freedom. We have many ideas to test, but I
expect that initial games will not be finished products. Our goal is
to find effective ways to create games enjoyable by players with
different abilities. If these ways are truly effective, we can
encourage industry to actually be inclusive in the future.
We plan to explore specialized haptic feedback in games, but it's not
our main goal. It's undeveloped technology in current days and our
work is not focused on that. Some days ago I went to a talk of a
japanese researcher who has interesting work in tangible interfaces.
His name is Hiroshi Ishii and he's exploring the idea of tangible
pixels. You know, like a table with little pins that come out and
according to some program it "sculpts" something in real-time. That's
something with much potential to gaming. Nintendo Rumble is cool, too.
Tangible interaction is promising but, as I said, it's not the main
focus of our project, because it's not really there yet. We are also
conscious that games which recquire special controllers or such would
be very expensive and unavailable.
I'll keep you informed. Thanks again!

Hello to you David, from Ron Kolesar.
I am blind with R.P. and I just filled out your survey.
Please write to me at:
[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
I’d love to be come one of your beta testers if you’re looking for
beta testers to stress test out your games and to report back bugs
in the game.
I’ve beta tested with several company's and their products, and I
soon will be a beta tester for the Spectrum cable company on their
world box version 3 cable converter box with the new voice input
remote controller.
I am a huge gamer and simmer.
I’m looking for a USB handheld two stick controller with hopefully
force feedback written into the program.
Why two sticks?
This is a valid question to ask.
I’m stress testing a couple hant to ear flight simulators.
The reason for two sticks on a handheld device is this:
The left hand or Port Side stick controls the roll and pitch
features of a flight simulator and the right hand or starboard
side stick controls the speed AKA the Velocity and the turning AKA
banking features of a flight simulator.
I’d like to find a handheld controller that not only would work
with we flight simmers, but with as many hand to ear products as
possible.
I have one program that the company went belly up but I still have
access to the program where not only physical force feedback would
bring the game to life, but also having shock feedback at a safe
level of course since the game also involves getting shocked by
live electricity as well.
To bad since Virtual Reality is all the rage for sighted people if
we could get a virtual reality for the five senses to take us from
the real world to the world of virtual reality which really would
bring the hand to ear coordination games and simulators to life.
I hope you think of me during your next project.
A very Merry Christmas to all.

Greetings, I’m David, a new member of the group. I hope that you
are all doing ok!
I'm a researcher and developer from Lisbon, Portugal and I'm
currently working with the blind and low vision community to
create games that can be enjoyable for players with different
levels of vision, for instance games that can be played and
enjoyed by the whole family and mixed-ability groups of friends.
Maybe you can help me.
I’m asking volunteers aged 18 or older to answer some online
questions. If you’re blind or have low vision and you like to play
games (videogames or tabletop games) you can help me, answering
the following short Microsoft Form
questionnaire:https://bit.ly/2r3XZKJ
<https://bit.ly/2r3XZKJ?fbclid=IwAR2bcMsSEoqhHaRMD9azZSVoHO-qbivxUGqQrSxert11lXg2pa5u4SgkLPs>.
If you’re sighted and you have a close relationship with someone
blind or with low vision who likes to play, you can also help me
by filling this second questionnaire:https://bit.ly/2PBBPJv
<https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2F2PBBPJv%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR28HWE_qWMKgK1jy-dsMTgMsN3yCP2POBsgjDba_u2hLZc0NEz9cLcSr0Y&h=AT2QLGqjPrO5VkqQnG2ggCd4y6rDfnQT056fkg04Q1A7ataImWdg_goY3B3Pix3OhnUokWDaMXuTSTF87HcadTbTbesXOIz8Kqjf_OlZ7Zg7wQNS975L5m2VaExEpu0fsGvcA6V9QIqZXYZltEUYqzh4LLQiFPn8VA>.
If you're blind or have low vision, you can further help, sharing
this second survey with your sighted friends.
Counting on you! Games must be for everyone! If you're interested
and want to know more, you can message me. Many thanks and best
regards!
