So hear goes: Radiator: Is there an all aluminum rad available for the M44 engine/ti combo? And/or is it worthwhile/feasable to use the all aluminium rad for a 6-Cyl instead and if so how? What all parts of the stock rad need to be replaced, as I know it has a seperate expansion tank and other bits too? Is there a prefered brand/source for these? Also, I am possibly looking to figure out a way to install and oil cooler and/or external bypass filter to the engine, so if this fact plays into any of the above or any suggestions, please feel free. Pump and thermostat: What is the prefered brand/source for these? Hoses: I assume that it is wise to replace all coolant hoses and clamps? What is the prefered brand/source for these. Coolant: I know, BMW OE for this, unless there is something I don'y know? Would this be considered a long-life or hybrid coolant...trying to figure out which test pads to use on my AMSOIL antifreeze test strips. Flushing: Should I just do a clear water flush of the block? I have a couple of cans of the LubroMoly radiator flush, what do you think? what is the recommended procedure? What about any other things, like thermo switch for the fan, as I only have the electric one? Anything else I should change/check? Steering pump and fluid: While I up there and have the rad and stuff out of the way, I figure I will do this too. I will get a fresh resevoir for this. What brand/source? AS far as fluid, any recomendations? I know I will need new clamps and such, will I need new hoses or seal rings, etc. ? After this, I will be working on getting my entire brake system and suspension freshened up/up graded. Thanks in advance for any and all info. I want to get her in shape, as I can't find any other car I like as much. Im looking to purchase a 330i and was wondering if there are any certain model years I should steer clear of. Are there any problems some of these come with that are common? Im liking the performance package option but cant seem to find many with leather. Was that an option for the PP? Any comments are appreciated!! TIA! The PP specifically came with the alcantara upholstery - I know plenty of guys that would swap leather seats in a hearbeat for the alcantara. - Rob ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mr" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 2:09 PM Subject: [UUC] Looking for a 330i Greetings all! All years have some common problems, though the only catastrophic one is rear floor failures (not unlike E36s). Luckily they're not that common, and TMS makes a repair/prevent kit. Performance Package started in MY03 with a 6MT only, so they didn't sell in huge quantities until slushies became available in 04. Leather was always an option on ZHPs; in fact I'd say the majority were sold that way here in SoCal. Some people have had stalling problems with ZHPs, though I'm not familiar enough with it to know if it's been resolved yet. >Greetings all! > >I'm looking to purchase a 330i and was wondering if >there are any certain model years I should steer clear >of.
