I can now answer some of the questions I had before we started as a reference for others. 1. Tranny bolts on the '89 were the Torx type and of three different sizes E10, E12, and E14. 2. The bolts are both forward and rear facing. One hex head bolt was on the passenger side holding in the sheet metal cover to the bell housing. 3. The engine stand bolts are 12 x 1.75 of varying lengths. -Kevin ---------------------------------------------------------------- This e-mail communication is confidential and is intended only for the individual(s) or entity named above and others who have been specifically authorized to receive it. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 8 replies now, looks like 5:3 not a serious issue, including an input from Brett who sees many cars and so few failures that he considers it rare. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I have seen it on a 328is, I had to change it for the customer on a parking lot. I changed mine on the race car with a metal one... don't want that to happen at 7500 RPM. Probably still a rare failure, if you have plastic pulleys, then I would check them once you check your belt or at every oil change doesn't take long. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Has anyone sourced a set of low dust pads for their E60 525xi? I've had good results from Hawk Ceramics on my E38, but I guess they are not available for the new 5ers. I find it odd that a bread and butter car like a 5 series would not be first on the list of cars to fit in the aftermarket. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Probably 98% of E60's are still under a maintenance plan, so aftermarket companies are not making maintenance parts a priority. Deal with the dust for now, wait for the Akebono Ceramic ACT pads to come out. Brett Anderson KMS Andy Messer wrote: > Has anyone sourced a set of low dust pads for their E60 525xi?
