Am working on a friend's car this evening and it is missing its owner's
manual!

Car is an '01 325i 4 door with the double VANOS engine in it.

I need the oil capacity.

I need to know how to set the clock.

I have the method of reseting the oil service indicator from the last
time I did this job.

TIA,

Ed

I have the same car with a 5th door in back.

~6.5qt I always start with 6, and adjust up as necessary.

Turn car on (don't need to start it). If the car has OBC, change it to
the clock mode. Turn the RIGHT knob in the cluster CCW/CW to adjust
back/forward. Pressing in will reset to the (nearest?) hour. It syncs
with the radio automatically.

Apparently, life as a bicyclist in Coloroda is cheap. :(

I once asked a Danish bicycle mechanic why Copenhagen drivers were so
careful about cyclists. He laconically replied: "Because they know it
hurts." I doubt enough Americans will ever develop that understanding.

a friend of mine who did a few headliner repairs before recommended that
i just go to a shop to get it fixed when it happened to me...he said
this was one of those jobs where paying $150 was well worth the price...

i think someone mentioned earlier that its the degradation of the foam
that will cause problems with the fabric not sticking...

here's what a search on bimmerforums netted if you wanna try it yourself:

good luck...

Sorry for the repost, but it was pointed out that I neglected several
important pieces of information about the car. This should cover most
of the major questions, please email me if interested or to get pictures.
