Does the braille note use different email/SMTP ports? that was, really, the quesiotn burried in all of that. You've probably already done this, but try a reset, probably the 4 5 6 reset and see if that helps.

I really think your actual connection configuration is fine, but rather something with your directory of accounts entry.

When I've gotten the 10022 error, a reset seems to solve it.

You might even break down and do a service reset if all else fails as it wouldn't hurt anything. But, try the others first.

I wouldn't think that port forwarding would be an issue since the pc seems to be connecting just fine.
