Hi Rhonda, Rhonda writes: I spoke with Roger Behm from
Adaptive Information. The problem of losing files is one he says he has not seen. I am interested in how many people lose files compared to those who don't. I know of a couple of people wanting to purchase the M Power, but are now feeling reluctant to do so.
I haven't lost files in the same way that others have, but I have found myself in situations where I'm in a file and can't navigate around, and when I check the file's contents, everything appears to be gone. Looking at the affected file in File Manager, the size of the file is often 623 bytes. This problem's been around since Keysoft version 3.07, and although Humanware claims to have improved memory management, I still haven't gotten a satisfactory antwer for why this happens even in KS version 7. The problem is that this happens unpredictably and has got to be the devil to reproduce, and as any developer will tell you, ya cain't fix somethin' that you think is broken if ya cain't make it break. So we may never have the answer to the problem that I'm talking about, and that's a real drag.
