I have had no problem using a credit card. it comes down to being a good consumer. If there is a problem with the purchase before you receive the product, dispute it with your credit card company if it is not straightened out to your liking with the company from whom yu purchased the product from.

with regard to tech support, I would not wait six weeks for a phone call. I would be on the phone within a day or two of my initial call. Also, it helps to know what the problem is and be able to discuss it when someone does call you back.
