Hi, Tiffany. What school did you go to where they teach spreadsheets? None of my children who have graduated recently ever learned much about spreadsheets except for a very cursory look. Also, with a program dedicated to financial management, more people are likely to use it. Do you really think that older persons who use a braille note, who didn't have the benefit of taking a spreadsheet class in high school or college are going to take the time to get really good at one so they can build their own template or book? I don't think so. Frankly, whenever we start talking about a financial program and the five or six people who bring up excel comes up, It makes me wonder what they are thinking. If spreadsheets are taught in high school or college, it's only in the past few years and how many of you who used them did very well with your jfw or window-eyes? How complicated were your spreadsheets? I'll bet my next pay check that they were nowhere near as good as those of your sighted classmates. I know mine weren't decorated as my class mates were nor were they as complicated in the number of rows or columns. But a dedicated financial program like a calculator or checking account program can be learned by anyone who wants to read the manual. No learning a spreadsheet with its formulae or cell linking needed. If the bn came out tomorrow with a spreadsheet, I probably wouldn't use it. I have a masters degree in business, but I'd have to learn all over again how to enter the formulae set up the tables and everything else associated with building a good template or book before I ever could enter the data for my check register, set up a sheet to figure out my stocks and bonds, calculate the interest on a loan or set up for a mortgage or refinance of my house. But give me a program where I can just enter numbers and I'd use it.

I however, would prefer an Excel spreadsheet over quiken or money because most of the schools these days teach this application over Quiken or money which would help students and others.
