I have no idea what an overwrite or append mode is. Can someone explain this to me?

Hi, Rhonda,

Well, the old Braille Lites, etc. had a continuous overwrite
command.
Sometimes that is handy just as I still want an append mode.

Hello Flor:

I am not sure why an overwrite command would be used. You can
use
Ctrl comma to delete a character, and then put the right letter
back
in. That's about the best way I know to do it.

Best Regards,
Rhonda Clark
