Yes, we need an undo command so that we can remedy a misrtake.
Otherwise, all aone can do is abandon the file to get all the stuff
back one has gotten rid of during that session.

It was 1998 revision that PC Edit mode came
in. KeyWord behaves much like Microsoft Word
(except that it does not have ovr switch
(override mode is not present). On the QT
the same command can be accomplished with Del
(I'm not sure whether it works or not).

Well, the old Braille Lites, etc. had a
continuous overwrite command.
Sometimes that is handy just as I still want
an append mode.
