I have given up on the service agreement, one display is 4 years old and the
other is 6 years old, both work just fine but I can save the money. I
suspect that all I will really need is cleaning and battery changes and that
I can manage. If the display ever goes, it will be time to think about what
I want next, a newer M-Power or another product, or maybe something HW has
in several years. Besides, my working schedule precludes my playing phone
tag with HW staff only to hear the same answer I got last week.

Subject: [Braillenote] Re: Service Agreement

Rose,
My son bought a used transplanted unit a few months ago. In a recent phone
call to Humanware, I was told he could not buy a service agreement because
the braille display was 3 years old. There was no mention of a problem with
the "transplant" itself, just the fact that any unit with a braille display
3 years or older can not be issued a service agreement. Does that sound
right, folks?
