My first Apex, late last year, was returned on the same day I got it because
almost the moment it first started up, it froze and would not revive while
displaying "Memory scan" on the display. The mainboard was replaced. No
issues since, although the keyboard (QT) isn't as responsive as I'd like (known
issue, fix available) and now one of the thumb-keys is starting to stick from
time to time. Yes indeed, time to send it back, when I next have the chance ...

No, I don't hate BrailleNote or HumanWare, I just wish they'd stop serving the
other 90% of their customers, just for once. Some of us have somewhat stricter
requirements. I especially liked it how, in one of the recent presentations,
one of the representatives essentially said "Some people don't just buy
BrailleNote because it's good-looking ..." Well if you ask me, that's the
status quo for the other BN users I know, it's all about the hardware. I have
since surrendered and now also have a Pac Mate for those times when the BN just
isn't going to do it, but with much annoyance and disappointment.

Cheers,
Sabahattin
