Hi, Since I have a computer with jaws, kurzweil1000 and a stand-alone version of fine reade; I don't think I'd need scannAR. For me, one of the really nice things is when i first connect to activesync, and then if I restart the computer, I can just tell the braillenote to make a connection from its end and the computer and braillenote find each other. How much would one of those USB to infrared adaptors cost me? If its faster than serial I may consider getting one. Also, is a 32mb card good enough for holding an mp3 book encoded at 22khz mono? That's how k1000 saves mp3s, at 22khz or less. I guess you don't need 44khz cd quality for books saved to mp3 in k1000.
