Dear Kitty, After a lot of user feedback, Pulse Data HumanWare redesigned the leather cases issued with all new BrailleNotes and VoiceNotes. These new cases do not use a metal plate, and I have found that they hold the unit securely while standing or carrying it from place to place. Customers in the U.S. who wish more information or to purchase these cases should contact PDH customer service at (800) 722-3393.

I have the leather case that pdi issues with the unit. However, the metal plate on which it rests does add weight to the unit thus making it harder on my poor back for carrying. It would also be nice if this case was water proof or water resistant. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
