Dear Kitty,

After a lot of user feedback, Pulse Data HumanWare redesigned the
leather cases issued with all new BrailleNotes and VoiceNotes. These
new cases do not use a metal plate, and I have found that they hold the
unit securely while standing or carrying it from place to place.
Customers in the U.S. who wish more information or to purchase these
cases should contact PDH customer service at (800) 722-3393.

Regards,

Subject: [Braillenote] carrying case

Am wondering if anyone has found a carrying case for the bn 18 that
allows
you to enter and retrieve data while standing without having to worry
about
the unit falling out of the case. I have the leather case that pdi
issues
with the unit. However, the metal plate on which it rests does add
weight
to the unit thus making it harder on my poor back for carrying. It
would
also be nice if this case was water proof or water resistant.
