Hi, Don. I have not had any corrupted email headers on the server when downloading to my pc. At least eudora doesn't seem to have a problem downloading them. But the bn does after around 400 messages. I am not sure it is a headder problem. I have 48 mb of flash disk space with around 31 present before downloading email. yet if I get past 2 mb of email, I have trouble as others on this list do. Why? I have plenty of memory. Even if you have only 16 mb of flash memory, why would 2 mb cause any problems with 14 mb still left to go. Could it be a problem with effective use of the system disk or something like that? Could there be some sort of memoey problem there?

Slight correction. At least from me. Jonathan can speak for himself.

What I said was that the error can be caused by corrupted mail on the server. I've seen it happen both to the braillenote where I had to clear a message using the pc, and also on the pc where I had to get help from the isp tech support people to clear the mailbox.

The email problem could certainly be caused by this sort of thing and possibly the braillenote not handling corrupted headers in email as well as some pc-
based mail clients.

This is not to say that the cause couldn't be something else though. It's best to check out probable causes first and see if they apply. If they don't, you
move on to other possible causes for problems.

Certainly no absolutely definite statement of problem cause on my part; just a starting point.

Hello Tom,
I have this problem too! I have been told by Jonathan and Don Bishop that my problem is that a header is stopping me from downloading large amounts of e- mail, it is nice to know, even though it is not a good problem, to know that other people are having the same problem.

I got further however when it got to 118 it did not go any further and locked up again. I had 256 messages. I then read the ones that came in and decided to go to my computer and read them from there. It sure would be nice if there was a fix for those of us who are having problems with e-mail.

I've got the 16-meg flash disk and I've learned that if my email folders discdb file gets well over 2 meg I'm in trouble. So it seems that after every email session I'm emptying trash and freeing database space. Frankly, it's a pain. There's got to be a better way. Do people who handle email on a regular PDA encounter these problems? Or
is this situation unique to keymail?
